Cook perfectly pink roasts and toast with wine served at ideal drinking temperature with this instant-read digital thermometer. After being inserted at least 1 inch into the food, the 4-3/4-inch stainless-steel probe accurately displays the temperature in just 8 seconds. One button changes the LCD display from Fahrenheit to Celsius, while another turns the device on and off. A rubber cap can be pried off in order to change the battery, while a plastic sheath with pocket clip lets the user keep the thermometer close at hand. To determine the accuracy of the thermometer, fill a container with chipped ice and water. Insert the probe 2 inches into the water without touching the container bottom. If the temperature reads less or greater than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the thermometer can be recalibrated. By means of a small screwdriver, a button on the display top can be turned to the left to decrease, and to the right to increase the temperature reading. This thermometer ranges from a low of -58 degrees F(-50 degrees C) to +500 degrees F(+260 degrees C), and is covered by a 1-year warranty.

I don't know how it happened but somehow the wires that connect the probe to the read out came loose. I used it for awhile and it was sufficient. This time around I'm paying the extra $5 for the Weber. . .

Works fine, reads quickly. I guess the quality is not in top, as the first one that I have received could not switch to Fahrenheit. The second one works, we'll see for how long.

Opened package, turned thermometer on and nothing. Also no instructions on how to change battery, doesn't appear that it even can be changed. Either have to return or throw it away as it's not worth the postage to send it back. Rating required to submit message...no negative stars available.

I purchased this product but when I opened it to use it the first time, the thermometer didn't work.

I ordered this thermometer and when I got it, it would not turn on. I checked the battery and it was corroded. Amazon sent me a new one very quickly, but it also did not work, so now I am just going get my money back.
