I don't know how well the thermometer is when it comes to being exact and calibrated... but I can not only read it easily, I can set a marker for what temp I'm waiting on. My only gripe is there was no clamp to attach it to the side of a pot or bowl - so I snagged one off my instant read thermometer. I ended up loaning my thermometer to a friend. She liked it so much, I had to get her one too. She hasn't noticed it doesn't have a clamp yet, and I'm not telling her!
