I can see the numbers without using my glasses, a little big for some things, but great for most.

Absolutely love this thermometer! It has a very easy to read face with big numbers that are clearly set off from the background so my aging eyes can actually read it accurately. It is safe to leave in the roast while it is in the oven, and the large size makes it a snap to read through the oven door.
Has a silicon covering on the face that makes it easy to grip when pulling it out of the roast even if it gets greasy. Reads in C and F, and has a listing of safe temps listed at the base of the dial in case you forget what the target temp should be.
Also has a very long warranty - 12 years - but the catch is you have to mail it back and pay for return shipping. Chances are, it would be cheaper to just buy a new one. But, it seems well-built, so I expect that barring an accident such as dropping it in the garbage disposer, it should last a while. It comes blister packed, so it's a bit of a chore getting it out of the package.

This ain't no tiny meat thermometer. The dial is palm sized and the probe is at least twice as thick. If your a pro cooking a clod in the 10s of lbs area this one's for you. It certainly wasn't meant for poultry or anything from your grocer.

I have used this thermometer to cook a pork loin and other grillings and am impressed with how easy it is to read and use. The markings on it made it very easy to use.
